Morton A. Katz is a Chartered Accountant in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
 
He is the Treasurer of the Institute for Middle East Peace and Development in the U.S. and Canada. He has been associated with Dr. Stephen P. Cohen for some twenty years, acting as treasurer and administrative head of the Institutes and as general financial counsel to Dr. Stephen P. Cohen and his family.
 
Along with his career as a professional auditor and accountant he has in the past been a special lecturer for several years at Concordia University in the faculty of Commerce and Administration.
 
He holds a baccalaureate in Commerce and received an MBA from Concordia University in 1976. He was granted a fellowship with the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec and is a life time member of the Quebec Order as well as of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
 
He was the President of the Accountant Study Group (1961 -1962) and also the first President of the Chartered Accountants of Central Montreal under the aegis of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec. He was a member of the organizing Board of Directors of the Foundation of Chartered Accountants of Quebec - organized to help students obtain the Chartered Accountant designation. He continues to serve the Foundation on a part time basis.
 
He currently spends his time in public practice as a Chartered Accountant in Montreal and as Treasurer of the Institute for Middle East Peace and Development in both Canada and the U.S.
